SKIPJACK

Maldivian skipjack tuna is caught one fish at a time using traditional pole-and-line methods—ensuring full traceability, minimal bycatch, and one of the lowest carbon footprints of any commercial tuna fishery.

Ancient ways

For millennia, skipjack tuna sustained human habitation in the Maldives. For over 2,500 years, an entire way of life—from vessel design to fishing techniques, preservation, and trade—evolved around it, making life across these islands possible.

Community catch

Maldivian tuna is a true community catch—landed by thousands of independent fishers using traditional methods passed down through generations.

The majority of value flows directly to fishing families, sustaining livelihoods across the islands and preserving an ocean-based way of life.

SOTA Cold Chain

Using state-of-the-art ice systems and RSW technology, we preserve freshness from the moment of harvest—maintaining the fish in a precisely chilled state.

We then rapidly reduce core temperature through precision-controlled blast freezing, locking in texture and flavor—setting a standard beyond conventional methods and enabling the highest-quality skipjack products.
